Access in Summary

Car Park, Drop Off & Public Transport

There is limited vehicle access to the apartments as they are situated in the heart of the City Centre on the pedestrianised New Street. Vehicles are able to drop off in a small service yard to the rear. Parking is provided in city centre car parks, the nearest being the Bull Ring. There are also pay and display car parks and meters nearby. There are public transport links close by with the New Street National Rail Station and Bus Stops within 250 metres.

Access at Entrance

The main entrance into the building is in the pedestrian zone on New Street. The entrance is located next to the Carphone Warehouse store at 150 New Street. There is level access into the entrance with a wide automatic sliding door entering into the reception level. There is an intercom to the right of the main entrance doors to enable visitors to contact residents and the reception desk.


The reception desk is located to the left within 15 metres of the entrance. Visitors should note that the reception desk is situated on a downward ramp. Reception staff will offer assistance in booking accommodation however there are no payment facilities at Reception as all payments are made in advance via the internet.


All of the apartments have well appointed kitchen areas. Visitors should note that the kitchens have not been adapted for accessible use and the worktops are at 95cm height.

Penthouse accommodation has spacious living areas.

The Mini range of accommodation are studio type apartments.

Clubman rooms are one bedroom accommodation.

Maxi Rooms are 2 bedroom accommodation with king size beds in each. Kitchen and ensuite bathrooms are standard.

Both double and single accommodation is available. King-size beds are standard in Maxi and Penthouse rooms. Visitors should note that none of the bedroom accommodation has been adapted for accessible occupation and that circulation space in even the largest rooms would not comfortably accommodate wheelchair users. There are flat screen TV's in all rooms.

A range of ensuite bathrooms are available, some with showers and others with baths. Please discuss individual requirements prior to booking. It should be noted that none of the bathrooms have been adapted for accessible use as baths have no transfer area and showers are step in type, there are also no grab rails or alarms present.

Access to All Areas

There are two passenger lifts which connect all floors. Rotunda is a Birmingham icon. A former office block, it was converted to apartments in 2008 by Urban Splash. It is also a listed building and a round one at that which means that there are certain accessibility restrictions in the apartment’s design.
