Access in Summary

Car Park and Drop Off

The Car Park is accessed directly from Ladywood Road. After passing through the security gate the accessible spaces are visible to the left hand side. There are two designated accessible spaces. There is a drop off point directly outside the main entrance.

Transport

Local buses do not pass through Ladywood Road. Local bus routes operate along Monument Road and Hagley Road which are both a short walk away.

Access at Entrance

There are steps leading up to the entrance. They have tactile paving at the top and bottom.

There is an accessible ramp leading to the entrance. The entrance door is operated by a PIR movement detector and is accessible for all users.

Reception

The Reception Desk has a lowered section and an induction loop facility available. A minicom machine is also available. There is seating, information leaflets and internet access within the Reception Lobby.

Facilities

There are 3 function/conferencing rooms available, The Simister Hall, Ashton and The Bar. The Simister Function Room can be made smaller by using room dividers. The Bar is open on Wednesday and, on function days, Saturday evenings and serves drinks and bar snacks.

The accessible toilet has an internal baby change facility.

The Cafe serves hot and cold food and drinks. Users of the Cafe also have access to the outdoor seating area. There is a chip and pin machine available in the Cafe. Customers at the Bar may also use this facility to purchase items sold in the bar area.

The outdoor seating area is available to users of the Cafe and Bar.

Access to all areas is from the Reception Lobby. All facilities are on level access.
