Buses 11a, 11c and 11e stop at the junction of Stoney Lane and Blakesley Road, from here it is a five to ten minute walk to Blakesley Hall Museum. Buses 97 and 97a leave the city centre from behind Marks and Spencer on Moor Street Queensway. Alight on Bordesley Green Road, just after Stechford Police Station. The entrance is approximately 0.4 miles from the bus stop.

Car Park and Drop Off

There is a car park situated by the main entrance with two accessible bays, and giving step free access to the main doors. An overflow car park is available on the grass area at the end of the main car park. The car park is monitored by CCTV and the accessible bays are policed.

Access at Entrance

Access is via double doors that remain open during visiting hours. There is step free access with a level threshold. When the glazed doors are closed there is safety manifestation and handles at an accessible height.

Reception

An Induction Loop is installed in the reception and gift shop area, and switched on at all times. There is bench seating opposite the counter, with space for wheelchair users and good circulation throughout.

Access to All Areas

All the doors are wide with step free access. There are paths in and around the gardens, and between the buildings. Pictorial guides to the first floor of Blakesley Hall Museum are available on the ground floor for those visitors unable to access all areas.

Facilities

There are accessible toilets in the visitor centre and in the barn building. Baby changing facilities are available in the toilet block in the visitor centre. Refreshments are available in the tea room where there is good circulation and tables at an accessible height. Staff will assist by bringing purchased goods to the tables. A Gift shop is adjacent to the reception counter.
