Access in Summary


Local Buses 65, 104 and 105 stop nearby in Lichfield Road, while the 7 and 11 call at the junction of Aston Lane and Brookvale Road. The nearest rail station is Aston which is approximately half a mile from the Trinity Road Entrance to the park.

Car Park and Drop Off

There are five accessible spaces situated directly in front of the hall. When the park is open, these can be accessed from the Trinity Road Entrance.

Access at Entrance

The side entrance gives step free access to the ground floor of the main house, access to here is through the Stable Entrance which is well signposted from the parking area.


The new reception area and the refurbished stable block are accessible. From here the cafe, Astonish Gallery, toilets and side entrance to the main building can all be accessed. The reception desk is always manned when the house is open.

Aston Hall Park and Gardens

Aston Hall is surrounded by parkland which is open all year round from dawn until dusk. The Park is a very pleasant green space. The footpaths and roadways are well maintained and suitable for wheelchair users. There is plenty of seating provided and the walkways are well signposted.

Astonish Exhibition

The Astonish Exhibition Gallery is situated above the reception area. This floor is accessed using the lift or stairs from the shop, this exhibition shows how the local area has changed since Aston Hall was first built.

Access to all areas

The upper floors of the main building can only be accessed using the stairs. There is an interactive video for visitors unable to access the upper floors. The ground floor has step free access to all areas except the kitchen. Aston Hall is a Grade I listed building which has been recently restored. The ground floor alone is well worth a visit. The stable block, park and gardens have also been renovated and all have step free access. Please note that during Aston Villa weekend home games the hall is closed to the public.


Close to the reception area are the only public toilets on the site. These are newly installed and there is a fully accessible toilet available. This is locked with a RADAR key.
